Foreman
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Foreman at Hatfield Construction, you’ll be hands-on in the field, leading crews, operating equipment, and ensuring that every phase of work meets our standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You’ll balance leadership and labor, mentoring your team while keeping projects on schedule and on budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee crews to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards
- Manage day-to-day site activities in alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding progress and challenges
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, compactors, and skid steers
- Perform and oversee site development work, including grading, concrete, underground utilities, and landscaping
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all OSHA and company safety policies
- Track time, materials, and work completed using company systems (written and digital)
- Train, mentor, and coach crew members to strengthen individual and team performance
- Support and model Hatfield’s core values on and off the job site
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Valid CDL driver’s license
- Valid Hoisting License (2A)
- OSHA 30 certification
- 5+ years working on similar civil, site, or utility construction projects
- 2+ years of experience in a foreman or lead role
- Proven ability to coordinate crews, equipment, and subcontractors effectively
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
