Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is accountable for the execution of the project, monitoring project activities and all project resources while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and by the project budget. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of site work and heavy civil construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Planning
- Contribute to the planning and development of projects
- Project Execution and Oversight
- Manage the scope, schedule, and budget of the project
- Track schedule and budget progress against project milestones and take all action necessary to keep the project on track
- Drive and secure change orders for all changes in project scope and/or schedule
- Manage quality control
- Manage the client’s overall project experience
- Proactively manage punch list and project closeout
- Team Leadership
- Maintain accountability for the project team
- Proactively manage relationships with clients and vendors
- Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination, and follow-up necessary to meet the project goals and objectives
- Stakeholder Communication
- Manage communication between all project stakeholders
- Ensure the scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by all stakeholders
- Serve as Hatfield Construction’s project representative with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project reviews, and other meetings and correspondence
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications/Skills
- OSHA 30
- Valid MA Construction Supervisor License (CSL) is preferred
- Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, project accounting, and engineering principles & techniques
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and programs; including Google/Microsoft Suite and Procore construction management software
- Ability to read understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
- Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- Experience
- 10+ years of project management experience
- Strong computer skills and experience with estimating software
- Strong preference for experience with Procore construction management software
- Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to drive, sit, talk, listen, walk, climb, bend, reach and stretch
